Description: For this listing we offer two (2) vintage 1960's original "Gear Grip" 2" Precision Ground Black Hardened Steel 1/8" Axles with 5:40 Threads and a flat space in the center of the Axle & four (4) Nuts. New Old Stock. Part #GT 104. Measurements 1/8" X 2" Long with steel 5:40 threads on each end. Replace your standard 5-40 front axle with this special axle these new precision ground Black Harden steel axles are for easier mounting on the new threaded 5:40 spur and crown gears. Manufactured in the 1960's by Classic Industries. These fit 1/24th, 1/25th and 1/32nd scales. My Dad owned a Hobby Shop that closed in the early 1970's, and he kept some of the more interesting slot cars and accessories from that era.
