Description: This Bible was printed in 1815 in New Hampshire by Anson Whipple. This is the first Bible printed in New Hampshire. Whipple was Isaiah Thomas' son-in-law. Thomas owned the press on which this Bible was printed. Typesetting began in 1810 and the printing progressed to Deuteronomy 26 when the project was suspended. It was not resumed until 1812. 8,000 copies were printed on coarse paper. A few pages are detached and there is a piece missing from the back end paper. Please see pictures for details. M.
