Description: 1880's hand-made quilt, squares in horizontal stripes (?) approx. 68" X 76" in very good condition. Completely hand stitched and hand quilted. After much time spent searching through thick quilt pattern books, I was not able to find the name of this pattern. (If you know, please let me know) I was told this quilt was made in Ohio. The quilters granddaughter told me her grandmother described the backing material as "homespun". This quilt is in VERY GOOD condition for its age. There is some very mild staining and some fading indicated. There may be a few popped stitches on this quilt, but I see no holes, rips or tears.
