This is a lot of 35 different issues of The Academy: A Weekly Review of Literature, Science, and Art magazine from 1898 (12 issues) and 1899 (23 issues). The issues included in this lot are: [1898] April 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30; May 7, 14, 21, & 28; and June 4, 11, & 18; [1899] July 15, 22, & 29; August 5, 12, 19, & 26; September 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30; October 7, 14, 21, & 28; November 4, 11, 18, & 25; and December 2, 9, & 16. These magazines were published in London. This lot of magazines features great articles, information, and some small ads. This lot of magazines is in overall poor condition showing wear due to age. The pages of these magazines are very dry and are very fragile. These magazines are subject to heavy flaking and paper loss. Some of the front covers and the back covers of these issues are detached. The front covers of these issues have library stamps near the top. Some issues are missing the front and/or the back covers. Please look at the photos and ask any questions you might have.
