Description: 1898-99 Alex Lindahl, Uppsala Cabinet Card Folio 12 Views with Laid Down Image on Folder Description Photographer_________ Axel Lindahl, Södertelge, Sweden Title: Fotografier Upsala Date: 1898-1899 Medium: Cabinet cards on plain mounts (12) Size of Image: na Size of Mount: 5 7/8 x 3 7/8 inches each Condition: Medium to light tonal images, images show some aging with mounts worn at edges some with chips at corners and pin holes at edges, backs are blank and clean. Folding folio has some fading/wear with aging, laid down photograph on cover with decorative boarder. Other: Nice small travel portfolio of 12 cabinet card views of Uppsala, Sweden. Axel Lindahl (1841-1906) was one of Sweden’s premier photographers making views of Sweden and Norway from 1865 until the late 1890s. He operated a studio in Södertälje in 1881 however sold this business along with his name around 1883 moving to Norway where he spent the remainder of his life documenting the Norwegian landscape and peoples.
