Full Transcript: This Indenture made the Twenty-ninth day of September One thousand eight hundred and ninety eight Between Harriet Melmoth of Glenmore Carter Road Weymouth in the County of Dorset Widow (hereinafter called the Vendor) of the one part and Samuel Anstey of Sherborne in the said County of Dorset Carpenter (hereinafter called the Purchaser) of the other part Whereas the Vendor is seised of the hereditaments hereinafter described and intended to be hereby granted and conveyed for an estate of inheritance in fee simple in possession free from encumbrances and has agreed with the Purchaser for the sale thereof at the price or sum of Five hundred pounds Now This Indenture witnesseth that in pursuance of the said agreement and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred pounds this day paid by the Purchaser to the Vendor (the receipt whereof the Vendor doth hereby acknowledge) She the Vendor as Beneficial Owner doth hereby grant and convey unto the Purchaser All those six messuages or dwellinghouses with the gardens and premises thereto adjoining and belonging situate and being in a certain Street or Court called George Yard in Sherborne aforesaid near to the George Inn London bounded on the North by premises lately belonging to the Vendor and now to Mr. James Anstey on the South by premises belonging to Messieurs Worthington Brothers on the East by premises belonging to the Eagle and on the West by George Yard aforesaid and which said premises are now in the occupation of Messieurs Anstey Baker and others as tenants thereof Together with all rights, easements and appurtenances to all the said premises belonging or appertaining To Have and To Hold the same unto and to the use of the Purchaser in fee simple And the Vendor hereby acknowledges the right of the Purchaser to production of the deeds and documents specified in the Schedule hereto and to delivery of copies thereof and hereby undertakes for the safe custody thereof.
