Description: Satchel Paige spent the 1948 & 1949 baseball seasons pitching for the Cleveland Indians. When Bill Veeck sold the team in 1949, none of the MLB owners would sign Paige; so what did he do? He started his own barnstorming tour and brought along several Negro League players to join him. In 1950, one of his stops was in Montreal, Canada. On August 21, 1950 he pitched against two Negro League teams.
