This type was issued in 1988 and 1989. This is the first of two signature varieties and carries "Signature 8". The note pictures a beautiful "African Fish Eagle" and colorful Butterfly as well as the first President of independent Zambia, Kenneth David Kaunda on the face and the very graphic "Chainbreaker" statue on the back. Nkhoma, Governor. • Black, dark blue and red-violet on multicolor underprint. • African Fish Eagle at left, Butterfly at center. The Note: A nice, still crispy example, it has been folded vertically but not horizontally, has no edge or body tears and no pinholes. The note will be sent in a new currency holder that protects it.
