Description: We have recently acquired a large group of beautiful Washington State game used football jerseys from the mid to late 1990s. The one available in this auction is the red #23 shirt, which was worn by defensive back D.J. Dobbins in 1997/98. The jersey shows nice, even game use throughout and has some hit and scuff marks particularly in the shoulder area (there are two tiny holes in the rear right shoulder above the nameplate). Manufactured by Russell, it is tagged as a size 44. It measures approx. 25 inches across from pit to pit (shoulder pad cut), then tapers to approx. 20 inches across at the stomach area. The length is approx. 38 inches from top of shoulder to bottom of tail (a tag in the tail indicates an additional 4 inches of extra length). The shirt has spandex sides. It appears that another nameplate was once on this shirt, before being replaced by the current "DOBBINS". This red gem is a cold-weather jersey with hand warmers built in to the sides. D.J. Dobbins was a walk-on from Henry Foss High School in Tacoma, and the Seattle Times even published an article about him on December 23, 1997. I doubt you'll ever find another one of these, and this would surely be a welcome addition to ANY Washington State collection!
