Description: BACK OF CARDS 1999 Hitter.Net Ted Williams Upper Deck Singles In 1999, Ted Williams’ son John Henry started a dial-up internet service under the name “Hitter.Net”. These Ted Williams cards were manufactured by Upper Deck to promote Hitter.Net. There are two variations of the cards. The first has a classic photo of Ted on the front with the Hitter.Net logo along with the 1999 All-Star Game logo. In the background appears an aerial photograph of Boston with Fenway Park in the foreground. These cards were distributed at the All-Star Game at Fenway Park in Boston. The second card has the same classic photo of Ted along with two pictures of the Hitter.Net-sponsored #9 racecar and a picture of a race in progress. It was distributed at the July 10-11, 1999 race at New Hampshire International Speedway. Both cards are nice collectibles for any baseball or race fan.
