Date: 1892 Medium: Albumen print on plain mount Size of Image: 6 5/8 x 9 1/8 inches Size of Mount: 14 x 11 inches Condition: Rich tonal image, some light fading at edges, light spotting to sky, mount shows some soiling, edges bumped, corners bumped with some chips. Other: Wonderfully graphic landscape view of a ship in this Norwegian fiord. Axel Lindahl (1841-1906) was one of Sweden’s premier photographers making views of Sweden and Norway from 1865 until the late 1890s. His Scandinavian archives now resides at the Norsk Folkemuseum in Oslo. On the verso is written in period hand, “Lappland.” Send questions.
