Description: Single owner/ Estate. This set is the First Edition Sterling Silver Proof Set of AMERICA IN SPACE and is in very good condition and it is complete. The date is 1970. The set includes 24 coins and all 24 corresponding pamphlets are included. The pamphlets are in excellent condition and hold very interesting information about each of the Space programs represented on each of the coins. The coins are beautiful and are mirror-like. 15 of the 24 coins have some orangish coloration around their edges and some look like a rainbow effect. Look at the close up pictures I have posted to see this. SEE PHOTOS. The book the coins are held in is in good condition. There is a bit of wear in several spots on the 2 inside pages that hold the coins. It is like a small spot of the blue background rubbed off. I have photos of this. Please see the last 2 photos to see what I am trying to describe. It does not detract away from the beauty of this Album. Please take a look at all of the pictures to best assess the overall condition. I posted as many photos as EBay would allow me, but if you need more close up pictures don’t hesitate to ask me.
