Description: Nice old Bennington style Red Ware Pig Pitcher with Brown glaze. 10” tall, 5 3/4” wide at ears, top opening 4 1/4” x 4” ( irregular as top is hand fashioned) , base is 3.25” x just under 6”, 8.5” deep from snout to back of hand fashioned handle. Body appears to be of a two part mold, with later hand fashioned snout, mouth, nostrils, ears , and handle. A few tiny top opening edge flakes and several tiny chips to the right ear, no cracks, large chips, crazing , or mineral stains .
