Description: Antique Victorian BroochMade of 9 kt 375 Gold Hallmarked in EnglandMarked with a 9 375 Anchor F = 9Kt Gold Birmingham 1905This superb Victorian brooch bears full English hallmarks for 1905. It was made by the Birmingham company Schaverien and Eastmead. They produced wonderful jewelry in the style of Charles Horner and James Fenton. Unfortunately it seems that this company only operated for a few years and not much is known about it. On the back is the signature ‘S&E’ for Schaverien and Eastmead. Then follow the English hallmarks – the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, the 9K 375 for gold content, and finally the date letter ‘f’ for 1905. This features a Shamrock over a heart design. It measures 1.75" X .5" and is in lovely condition. It is 110 years old. Weighs 2.4 grams.
