Description: Antique Mammy Black Doll 1800’s Early American Arts & Crafts Soft Doll This lady is a fine representation of Americana. Exact age is unknown, however, my 76 year old father was given this as a boy from his Aunt who was ‘older than dirt’ in the 1940’s. Handset and stuffed, she resided in a bowl of marbles for at least 90 years. The dress is hand crocheted, with a cotton muslin hankie on her head. Button eyes, with hand sewn face. Late 1800’s to early 1900’s is our guesstimate of age. Height as she sits is approximately 6.5 inches. Width from fingertips 11 inches. Head circumference 11 inches. This was purely a display piece while in our care. She does not have legs. Shipping within one business day.
