Description: Antique Brown Jasperware Lion Head Tea Set Teapot Sugar Creamer Wedgwood Dudson. Sugar bowl base is marked H or X with number 24; Pot base is marked H 24, creamer marking hard to read - my readings of the markings are a best guess, please see photos of bottoms to see markings for yourself. Certainly a very old set, 1800's era. Pattern is lion head with grapes grapevine draped. I have seen these called Wedgwood and others call this pattern Dudson Hanley, I am uncertain who was the maker although I am pretty sure it is English rather than Villeroy & Boch. The teapot pot base has a tiny chip on the spout, the lid has inner lid chip. The sugar bowl base is fine but the lid has inner side edge chips. The creamer is fine with no issues. A solid decent condition set with fairly minor issues mostly unseen when displayed. See my many detailed photos. The set weighs almost 3 pounds before packing.
