Antique Herschede Westminster chime Mantel Clock Beautifully restored inside out

Description: Here is a fantastic Antique Westminster chiming Mantel clock from the dynastic Herschede Hall Clock co of Cincinnati that has been beautifully restored and is in fine working condition ! The Beautiful Mahogany cabinet has been cleaned, reconditioned and polished to its original luster and presents beautifully and has few if any flaws. The original silvered dial has a fair amount of patina and shows signs of wear but presents well for this beautiful antique time piece. The glass door is in excellent condition and opens and closes as it should. The fantastic Herschede three train movement has been cleaned, oiled, inspected and adjusted and keeps very good time and strikes accurately on its precision tuned chime rods that produce a most splendid sound on each quarter hour with the familiar Westminster chime sequence striking 4 notes on the first quarter, 8 notes on the half hour, 12 notes on the 3 quarter hour and 16 notes on the hour followed by the correct number of strikes on a separate 5th chime rod. The Herschede Hall clock co produced the finest clocks for over 100 years from 1877 until 1984. This clock was made at the height of their dynasty in American Clockmaking. This is an 8 day clock that needs to be wound on all three of its arbors weekly. with included key.
