Description: Antique pearl-handled gentleman's pocketknife from J.A. Henckels. Henckels is one of Solingen, Germany's oldest and most sought after makers. While Henckels' line of culinary knives are well-known as some of the finest knives available, their earlier pocket knives are seen much less frequently and are highly sought after by collectors. While still made in Germany, the modern Henckels pocketknife line is currently owned by United Cutlery. The modern knives are of excellent quality, but simply don't have the look and feel of the older Henckels knives. This is an original Henckels knife that was made prior to WWII and likely dates to the 1920's or earlier. The knife shows very little wear. Still good snap on all three blades. Small crack in center pen(see photos).
