Description: Antique or vintage nite lite with original parts. The socket takes a small night light bulb. (bulb not included in listing). The nut holding the socket needs tightening-it's loose. The plug has silver non-polarized prongs and is an unusual shape and style. It's a light weight plastic and looks 2-ply. The cord is thin, and there are no cracks in the plastic outer part. The cord feels a bit stiff-it's not real flexible. Cord length to the end of the plug is about 36" long. On/off switch on the cord works fine and is located about 1' from the lamp. The pale yellow glass globe has a flea-size stain in the glass on the rim (shown in photo) and a shadowy mark on the side. Inside of the bottom edge of the yellow globe has some rough spots, tiny chips- but they don't show. There are no cracks or repairs. The white globe doesn't sit quite perfectly flat; it seems to be hand blown. The lamp parts all seem to be original. There is no makers mark. The metal has wear and pitting and lots of age. Please view photos for condition. Yellow globe is held in place by the prongs. Bulb goes on first, then white globe and lastly the yellow globe. Place the yellow globe over two prongs, then gently push the third prong towards the inner part of the lamp and lower the globe over it. The tension of the prongs hold the globe in place. The globes will be removed for shipping and all carefully wrapped. The knob on the side does nothing. The metal is non-magnetic. Total lamp height: 13 1/2"Lamp base diameter: 4 3/8" This is a very pretty Victorian age lamp (or there abouts) with quaintness and lots of personality! The light at night is soft light because of the double glass globes that it shines through. Thank you.
