Description: ANTIQUE WOOD FILE BOX This antique poplar wood file box, which is in very good condition, measures 18-1/2" long x 8-1/2" wide x 12-1/2" tall and weighs 12.4 pounds. It is constructed with lap joints on the case and butt and dovetailed joints on the drawers. It retains the original finish and has unique round wood knobs and stacked drawers as opposed to the more typical side by side configuration. The drawers, which accommodate 5" x 6" or smaller index cards, open & close properly and apparently were not made with interior card slides. A nice uniquely constructed old storage box!
