Description: This is an old 19th Century antique in its period frame oil on paper attached to canvas featuring men and ladies guest arriving at a party or possibly wedding from older local high end estate. One lady has arrived in a Salon chair carriage. The frame is ornate with original gold gilt and it is mounted inside a black painted shadow box. The shadow box does not have a glass cover and I dont know if it ever did. The painting from back is 8" by 12". The painting from front seen is 7 1/2" by 11 3/8". The black shadow box is 14" by 17 1/2" by 2 1/4" deep. I see minor black paint nicks on outer shadow box and some paint flakes on top of painting edge that blends in and is not glaring. On paintings bottom right center has two areas that looks like the paper has been reglued back into place. Look above pink ladies hat and at pink ladies feet. See phoio. Not obvious to me due to the busy area. Thanks for looking.
