Description: Up for sale is an ANTIQUE Wooden Oval Picture Frame with gold gilt, glass and wooden backing. Measures 19" x 16". The frame is about 1" thick. The rabbeted oval opening at the back of the frame is 18" x 14 1/2". There is no maker on the frame. The glass is good. The eye hooks on the back for hanging are set up for portrait orientation. See photos- the frame has a wood bass with a light coat of gesso and an antique gold finish was has darkened. Just needs a little TLC. Being sold in as found condition from a Maine barn. I did not open up the back. The picture of a cross looks like it may have been a scrapbook print.These hardwood frames are getting harder to find especially in the oval ones.
