Atlas MFC Horizontal Milling Machine MF-38 Table Feed Knob Replacement

Description: Atlas MFC Horizontal Milling Machine MF-38 Table Feed Knob Replacement. This is a replacement knob for the Atlas MFC part #MF-38. I have an Atlas that was "used and abused" that I have slowly been restoring in hopes of bringing back into service. After having to source numerous parts from eBay paying the high prices here, (that is even if you can find the part you need), I turned to making my own. My part #MF-38 was both cracked at the pin and deeply pitted with zinc corrosion as is often found on these cast pot-metal parts that Atlas used. This is a replacement part that I modeled in CAD after very careful modeling and testing on my own machine. Printed out of high quality PET this should last decades longer than the original cast zinc Atlas part. I finish this off by hand reaming with a taper reamer that exactly matches the original 3/16"x1" taper pin, though the part is a perfect slip fit to the feed gear shaft and holds on with friction. I figure that if I need this part, than there is another garage machinist out there that could use this part too. Please see my store for other items.
