Description: Up for sale is an original Atomic Pi single board computer from Digital Loggers. I bought this a couple years ago to power a software defined radio (SDR) system that I have since moved to a different setup to accommodate new hardware. Now, it's time to put this Atomic Pi into the hands of another hobbyist. The unit is in perfect working order and excellent physical condition. The Atomic Pi is actually a core component of a failed home assistant robot that never made it to market. When that project went under several years ago and it's assets sold off, Digital Loggers bought these units, re-branded them as the Atomic Pi, and sold them to tinkerers. This was intended to be an inexpensive x86 alternative to the ARM based Raspberry Pi, hence the name. The board itself features some pretty decent hardware for its time. An Intel Atom x5-Z8350 Processor that maxes out at 1.92GHz, 2GB of on-board DDR3L-1600 RAM, micro SD card slot, USB 3.0 and 2.0 connectivity, HDMI out, and 16GB of eMMC built-in storage. Digital Loggers also included the custom "breakout board", seen attached under the Atomic Pi in the photos, to make tinkering much easier. The breakout board provides a USB 2.0 port, connections for power delivery, screw terminals for various other connections, and a prototyping area. I added a single extra USB 2.0 port (seen in the photos and included with the sale) for additional connectivity and I ran the system off the micro SD card slot. Doing this means the on-board eMMC storage wasn't needed for operation in my specific setup and was only used to store a few files. I messed around with some retro console emulation after I moved my SDR setup to new hardware, and it worked good for that as well. As you can see in the photos, I will also include the single Wi-Fi antenna I was using to connect to the Atomic Pi remotely. The Atomic Pi will come assembled exactly as seen in the photos.
