Description: Fantastical teapot by Aynsley. The shape and roll and swirl of the teapot is so perfect, it just has so much movement and shape to it, maybe because its an oval (on all 3 axes) and not your traditional round. This one has beautiful gold trim but best of all are the tiny blue flowers around the rim and of course the cuckoo itself is so cute! It is no wonder Wedgwood took the cuckoo and made a new pattern from it. Holds 5 1/2 cups (44oz) possibly 6 to the brim. The Pembroke pattern is based on an antique pattern which was used by all the major manufacturers: Wedgwood and Minton call their version the Cuckoo pattern, while Coalport and Aynsley call it Pembroke. Each features the Cuckoo in foliage, but each differs in the amount of flowers. Either way, you can mix and match these as they all work together.
