BEAUTIFUL & RARE GREEN OPALINE GLASS VICTORIAN PERIOD BOX 19TH CENTURY

Description: Beautiful antique green opaline glass box mounted in a gold gilt brass or bronze frame with hanging bell flowers on each corner. Made in the Victorian period around 1870s. The glass is an apple green color in person and has a wonderful fancy cut shape like a clam or other see creature shell. Measures 5.25 inches long x 3.75 inches high x 4 inches deep. Condition is exceptional for the age with normal age/use wear to the gold decoration. The small braided trim around the lower rim has lifted a little mostly around one side. See photos for all details. I took a lot of them. Super rare to find these fancy shaped opaline boxes from the Victorian period especially with the bottom metal frame.
