Description: The two White brothers, Leonard and Ichabod Jewett, were born in the early 1800's in Conn.. They started making planes in Michigan and in 1844 they moved to Buffalo NY and established a very prolific and successful plane and edge tool company which lased for over eighty years. This is their beech #102 "recessed quarter round" molding plane - excellent condition and showing VERY little use.
