Description: From the BMC Toys AMERICAN HERO COLLECTOR SERIES: The Rough Riders' CHARGE UP SAN JUAN HILL 102 piece plastic army men boxed playset includes 60 soldier figures, 24 sandbag stacks, 6 barbed wire fences, 2 stone and split rail fences, 2 machine guns, 2 Gatling guns, 2 rock formations, American Flag, Flag of Spain, ladder, and Spanish Hacienda Blockhouse. The troops include 11 Rough Riders, Colonel Teddy Roosevelt, 10 Tenth Calvary Buffalo Soldiers and Sergeant George Berry, 1st Lieutenant John J. Pershing, 12 Seventy-First New York Regiment Troops, and 24 Spanish Soldiers in Light Bluish Gray to represent Rayadillo uniforms. The Blockhouse measures 16.9 inches wide x 13 inches deep x 9.25 inches tall and features snap together assembly and all new working front door. The roof is removable and the walls can be used separately as a ruined blockhouse. The porch assembly with roof also doubles as a Mediterranean Style Pavilion. Building and accessories are made from fairly stiff, very durable, polypropylene plastic. The figures are made from HDPE and LDPE plastic with medium detail, very little flashing, and stand up to 2.4 inches tall. All fgiures and pieces are approximately 1:32nd scale. This playset was first offered BMC Toys in 1999 and has not been produced in more than a decade. The 2020 release features color improvements, and additional accessories that include front door and historically accurate flags. BMC Toys was founded by Bill McMaster in 1991 and specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic style of the 1950s and 1960s.
