Description: This plate measures approximately 10 inches in width, and approximately 1 1/2 inches in height. Ruffled edge plate depicting a boy catching a fish under a tree. Creamy white with blue spongeware. On the inside bottom, there is a small glaze flake that could be from the manufacturing process. There is a similar flake on the top edge. This handmade pottery has three separation lines of the glaze from the manufacturing process (which can be seen in the pictures). This handmade pottery has some glaze skips and glaze pops from the manufacturing process. The bottom has, what appears to be, a clay pop. These are not unusual in this type of handmade pottery. The glaze flake on the inside bottom of the plate has, upon inspection with a magnifying glass, two tiny lines in the glaze that go from it approximately 1/4 of an inch.
