For his career he had 3,184 Hits, 431 Home Runs and 1,695 RBI, batting .276. He is best known for his Iron Man streak, breaking Lou Gehrig's consecutive games played streak, playing in 2,632 consecutive games. Ripken was a first ballot Hall of Famer, inducted in 2007. He's a member of Baseball's All-Century Team, the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame and his Number 8 is retired by the Orioles, for whom he played his entire career 1981-2001.
