Kristi developed an innate artistic ability from being raised in an artistic home, which had an art studio and library. Both of her parents obtained art degrees. Her father has placed (numerous times) in the top tenth percentile in state and federal duck stamp art contests, and her mother has sold work at a local gallery. Kristi studied art at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts (NOAFA), and is also self-taught. She has created mosaics and sold her unique tropical jewelry at the Red River Revel for four years. She has turned to painting, and has sold work both locally and nationally. She has exhibited at shows and galleries, including several group shows in northwest Caddo Parish, including Centenary College's Meadows Museum of Art and Centenary's Magale Library, Norsworthy Gallery, and Artspace in downtown Shreveport; Jokie’s Gallery in Natchitoches, and the New Zone Gallery in Eugene, Oregon. In December 2011, Kristi was awarded a visual arts grant from the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC), and became a Juried Roster Artist in 2012. She is a member of Louisiana Artists, Inc. and the Hoover Watercolor Society. She has a permanent exhibit at the University Medical Center in New Orleans.
