Description: 41 1/8" high at the posts/ends, 40" overall width. Needs refinishing as pics show, was originally a medium brown wood stain as seen in pics and now has a white distressed-attempt paint finish on it, can be sanded and restained a wood finish. It is perfect, just needs customizing! This rare to find rustic headboard has black bronze distressed metal detail of a hammered metal panel with studs across the panel, the picket style slats each has a decorative star-like metal sequin on them. The heads is very carved to include the tops of the side posts, the front of the sides, the edges/sides and slat fronts has carved etching, the carved etching on the front of the slats is wood laminate inlay it is sandable like hard wood. The back right bridge support(see pic) has a surface layer of wood peeling mentioned for transparency, this doesn't in anyway affect stability of course. I took a close-up of the stamp at the top back in case you were curious as to what the stamp says, the year is muddled and isn't legible, for informational purposes the label remnant on the left back bottom no longer shows any information. I guestimate the headboard to be at least 25 years old or a little older.
