Description: Vintage Chouinard Bong steel Piton. These were named for the deep “bong” sound they made when hammered into cracks. This one has never been placed and shows zero deformation or scratching from being driven into rock. It does have some minor surface scratching from being carried on the rack or bounced around in a bin full of other pins. Very minor surface rust in a few small spots. An excellent collector’s specimen.
