Description: Civil War General CDV Photogravure Photo Likeness William Tecumseh Sherman --- I'm not sure if you would refer to this process as photogravure (I think the image itself was made from a photogravure which would be an actual pull from a copper plate and you would be able to feel the etched plate impressions). Obviously not a one of a kind photo (I'm sure collectors know the difference but pointing it out in case you are new to this era cdv cards/photos). In the image you can see the engraving/etch patterns in the coat area and most noticeable where it fades out on the bottom. Measures 2.5" x 4". Sherman is written in pencil on the front and back (with dates on the back). Corner have wear and chipping.
