Description: Hello! Up for sale is a legend of an amplifier head from Crate .... the Blue Voodoo BV120H ! The blue voodoo was actually the amp model for Marty Friedman of Megadeth at the time. A rockstar model amp and in many opinions, Marty is a real guitar shredder! You can google Marty Friedman and Blue Voodoo and see the original adds for it. Pretty cool amp.And Marty used the Blue Voodoo for good reason! This amp has been called an affordable alternative to the Marshall JCM series, a staple of the backlines of hard rockers, 80's metal axemen and melodic shredders like Friedman ! The clean is nice, warm, and round, just like with Fender and Marshall tube amps. And of course, what you would buy these amps for is the overdrive .... it really does not disappoint! And it can get pretty brutal on this model ! It has plenty of high gain, which is pretty much a requirement for shredders and metal players! I would say this amp is more akin to a JCM 900 and their TSL models as opposed to a lower gain model like the JCM 800. Dare I say you can scoop the mids and get more of a Mesa boogie tone as well?
