Description: DAVID BOWIE ALADDIN SANE ALBUM COVER "AUTOGRAPHED" BOWIE 78 My personal copy of the Aladdin Sane album which David signed "Bowie 78" during the Isolar Tour when playing Bingley Hall in Staffordshire, England has been reproduced on quality 400 msg cardI was working as security at the venue and I'd put the album in his dressing room hoping it would be signedWhen I got it back I never really thought it was real, but it sure always looked good in my record collection.Recently on checking with a representative of the Bowie estate I was very pleasantly surprised for it to be confirmed as genuine!Apparently David hated people copying his signature, and would simply sign them himself I have had the original album valued at £1000-£1200.To say this item being offered would look good framed is an under estimate!Any questions...just ask...I also have a signed Low, ChangesOneBowie and Hunky Dory but they can wait for another day... from davidbowieautograph.com1978 New Bingley Hall - Stafford18 November 2021David played 3 nights at the New Bingley Hall in Stafford on theevenings of 24th, 25th and 26th June 1978 - above is a signed autograph pagefrom the last evening given to the secretary of the venue's manager.I get many emails (over 2000 this year to date) from people requestingauthentication for either signed Bowie memorabilia they own or are consideringpurchasing - the depressing side about this is having to say "no its aforgery" SO MANY TIMES...in fact 9 out of ten times. It is therefore a great pleasure to receive emails like the one belowwhich I was recently sent by David. He wrote: "I worked at Bingley Hall in June for the 1978 tour and gotthese four albums (Aladdin, Hunky Dory, ChangesOne and Low) autographed" "I don't actually know if DB actually signed them, apart fromthe fact that the albums went into his dressing room and (as staff members) wecould only put in four each.I'd love to know, what do you think?I know that the odds against them being genuine are 95% but being theyhave some degree of providence I think I have only a 95% chance of hearing theworst. I do remember missing the 1978 World Cup Final - Argentina vHolland - to watch these gigs.....You can therefore imagine David's happiness when he discovered last week(after 43 years!) that the great man had indeed sat down and signed his albums.He had tucked them away which is why they are in such great condition. It lookslike DB used the same pen as he did for the autograph page at the top.As usual, the consecutively signed 4 LP's each show 4 differing versionsof his signature, the variation of which would pretty much remain consistent inthis style until after the 1983 Serious Moonlight Tour, when it would morph yetagain."
