Description: A beautiful collectible set of four U.S. postage stamps issued on July 4th, 1976 as part of the Celebration of the American Bicentennial Stamps independence. The stamps were designed by Vincent E. Hoffman and based on a famous painting by John Trumbull in the Capitol Rotunda. These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the post office 47 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift for anyone who has seen the painting or is interested in revolutionary war period history. Look in my other auctions for other blocks of stamps historical significance including other stamp blocks to celebrate the American Bicentennial! All stamps are Mint Never Hinged.
