He joined the US Air Force in 1981 and served as a medical service specialist at Mather Air Force Base near Sacramento, California. Dave studied engineering at Ohio State University under an active-duty commissioning program. In 1987, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant and assigned to the Buckley Air National Guard Base near Denver, Colorado. Dave is now a full-time property investor and author.
