Description: LAST CALL BEFORE I REMOVE LISTING SO DONT WAIT. I found this extremely rare Tom Green Enfield Bullet at the Battle of Mansfield La on private property with owner’s permission. This is a (MM-657/TT-164/RBTRF IV 405-409) and are found in Texas and Louisiana as well as where Texas troops were camped or were in battle in the Trans-Mississippi Theater of the Civil War. These extremely rare bullets have been attributed to being manufactured at the Dance and Parks arms and ammunition works that was located in Anderson Texas. They were produced on a machine similar to the Gardner with a flange crimped over to hold the paper. Some of the Tom Green's have what appear to be one ring. The reason the bullets are named Tom Green bullets is that the first ones and several found later were found in camps occupied by Brigadier General Tom Green's Confederate Texas cavalry units. These bullets along with other rare Confderate types are only found in the Trans-Mississippi Theater areas. Bullet is in good dropped condition. It will ship in a box priority mail insured Please ask any questions needed. I have two of these listed for sale.
