Fender Custom Shop Exotic 1959 Stratocaster Spalted Maple NOS Natural

Description: Exclusive Spalted Maple 1959 Stratocaster We at Truetone Music are always looking to come up with something you haven't seen before, especially when in partnership with Fender. For this take on a classic 60's era Tele, we went a step further - going to the Custom Shop in Corona, CA to hand select the wood for an exclusive run of guitars. We were escorted into the wood vault, to go through their finest collection of wood spreads. From that, we designed a batch of 15 guitars that are all one of a kind. Within that, there is only one Stratocaster in Spalted Maple, and this is it. We are excited to present this guitar - and before we say anything else, we'll pause here so that you can check out the photos. The roasted Alder body body is topped with a gorgeous Spalted Maple top - that's the main calling card of this guitar. The NOS lacquer finish in Natural allows the wood grain to really show. The final result blew us away when it landed. Spalted Maple is always eye grabbing but this particular spread is really something else. We hand-picked it for the unique grain. Even though every spread presented was great, this one in particular stood out as the winner. Another feature that you'll be sure to notice is the roasted maple neck. The 59 Esquire "C" neck shape is super comfortable - we use this neck shape a lot due to it being just slightly thicker as you go up the neck, in comparison to the Mid 60's Oval "C" profile, which is the most common. We find the extra meat is useful in the higher register, as there's more to grip. It's a great vintage feeling Strat neck. To add a touch of modern preference, we did it with a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets, making it easy to play. It's not just about the looks - this is an amazing sounding guitar. Loaded with Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups, which is our favorite set for any Strat. These are calibrated pickups constructed with hand-beveled, staggered Alnico V magnets and Formvar magnet wire. Along with crystal clear highs, they deliver enhanced bass response without the harsh midrange. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum canceling in positions 2 and 4. Other features include a period correct bridge, vintage tuners, and a bone nut. The guitar comes with a special blonde Custom Shop case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity. We haven't seen a Strat quite like this before - it's truly stunning.
