Description: Welcome toCelestial Nonesuch For Sale Today: A gorgeous pair of porcelain candle stick holders, featuring a man and a woman dressed in 18th century attire. The woman has a bird in her hand, with a dog sitting at her feet, and the man seems to be reaching out to the woman. Chelsea / Derby gold anchor mark on the back of each of the candlesticks.Antique, dating from 1756 - 1775.Overall, fair condition. Several repairs on the lady's candle stick, on the main branch and two of the off-shoots. Two detectable repairs on the gentleman's candle stick, present on his right arm, as well as one of the off-shoots of the branch. There are some areas of cracks present across the candle sticks, possibly from manufacturing - specifically around the base and around the candle holder attachments. Exhibits signs of age such as surface wear and weathering. Some damage to the leaves and flowers on both candle sticks.
