Description: This is a super rare Firestone Rubber Company Air Chief radio. Code # 4-C-1. It is approximately 7.5” high x 8” wide. What makes this radio so rare is that they rarely still have the front cover attached. It even includes the original leather strap that needs to be reattached. Even the one shown on the radio museum website shows it without the front cover. The radio is both battery and AC powered. I believe it was made in 1947. This radio is non-restored and will only hum when plugged in. I believe the battery is very old, maybe original. (Of course it is dead). All of the tubes are still available for someone who would like to restore it. Great addition to your radio or Firestone Company collection.
