Description: Very nice vintage Frankoma Pottery Christmas display plate: Laid in A Manger 1969. The tradition of the Frankoma Christmas plates began in 1965 and they were inspired by the Christmas story. The plates were sculpted in low relief with sharp enough detail to make each plate a treasured piece of sculpture, and finished in a semi-translucent "Della Robbia" white glaze. Gently used, the plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and hardly any surface wear. The glaze has crazing on the front and back.
