From the Geoghegan company site, niobium is denser and harder which gives more tone color possibilities in your playing. The silver power bands and rubber/solid brass crown and stopper assembly allow for tons of resonance and projection. It’s also less maintenance because there is no cork to replace. This is a heavy head joint which gives it its power and resonance but also takes some getting used to. If you’ve ever played on a Geoghegan Niobium head joint this one will be exactly the same because all of their headjoints are precisely machined for consistency. This head joint is freshly polished and in excellent condition. Will be shipping in the FCNY head joint box. Just one small dent that is so small it was a challenge to get a picture of and a few small scratches from use. See pictures for details.
