HO Brass Southern Pacific M-9 2-6-0 Sunset/Tae Hwa Korea 1981 XLNT

Description: HO Brass Southern Pacific M-9 Class 2-6-0. Produced in Korea for Sunset Models in 1981. EXCELLENT ESPEE's large fleet of 'Mogul' 2-6-0's included this M-9 class, consisting of 20 examples delivered by Alco around 1908. The prototype was modified as represented by this model around 1930. Many SP 2-6-0’s remained on the roster until the end of steam on SP in 1958. The model features nicely detailed cab interior as well as a high level of exterior detailing. The model shows only very slight wheel wear. No nicks, scuffs or scratches on the original unpainted finish. All original soldering is strong, straight and clean. It is in overall excellent condition. The model runs quite smoothly, although has been stored idle for many years and will benefit from basic servicing. The original box is in equally near-NEW condition. The original foam packing material has been replaced. This is a terrific candidate for your mid-century branch-line operation.
