Yet in the handful of comedies in which she starred, her freshness, ebullience and comedic genius transcended her personal limitations: Gentleman Prefer Blondes (1953), How To Marry A Millionaire (1953), The Seven Year Itch (1955), and the classic Some Like It Hot (1959). Ironically her last film The Misfits (1961) was also the last film for two other screen legends, Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift.
