Unlike some varieties, the flowers of Brunello are outward facing and glow when backlit by the sun. The flowers are held on sturdy red stems that rise above very attractive leathery, dark green, evergreen foliage that is deer and rabbit resistant. Barolo provides a long-lasting flower show that will color up the shade garden at a time when there isn't much else blooming in the garden. Excellent in garden beds or containers.
