The PURGE VALVE - 120V controls flow of fluid from tank to dispenser and should be changed every four years. For longer or heavy use, the purge valve may need to be changed more frequently. The PURGE VALVE - 120V has the following specifications: Series - ICE-O-MATIC 581215, Water Connection Size - 1/2 , Continuous Processing (Btu) - 90000, Refrigerant Type - R22, and Max Suction Pressure (PSI) - 250. Designed to meet the latest introduction in Foodservice equipment PURGE VALVE-120V, provides the ability to purge air out and around a refrigerator door as it is opened. By doing this you can eliminate excessive cold air mixing with warmer air that results in warm spots when the door is opened. This is accomplished by introducing warm or room temperature air into the evaporator so that the density difference will cause one side of the evaporator to cool more rapidly while the other end remains warm or at room temperature. This "cold bridge" then allows for a more even heat dispersion across the entire evaporator eliminating warm spots and Purge Valve; 120 Volt. The PURGE VALVE helps to reduce line pressure built up in the ice machine, and is mounted inside the machine.
