Description: Bunn Special "D.R." Illinois Watch Co. 18 size 21 jewel open face lever-set Bunn Special pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Movement has a scarce "D.R." marking near its balance cock, this is an abbreviation for Double Roller and this "D.R." marking was very short-lived as it was quickly replaced in production by watches with the spelled out version of the marking. Movement is a very nicely finished railroad grade with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and bright spotted pattern nickel damaskeen. Watch is fronted by a double-sunk enamel dial with Old English signature and with Gothic hour numerals. Serial number is 1711984. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster. Dial is beautiful with just a mild short fine glaze scratch within its seconds-register.
