Description: This is a used Jeep CJ rear drive shaft. Slide is good. It measures 13" closed and 16" extended measuring from center of u-joint cap to center of u-joint cap. U-joints are used. Plan to replace them. This was removed from a 1983 Jeep CJ5 with 4.2 liter six cylinder engine, T176 four speed and dana 300 transfer case. This can work on 72-86 Jeep CJ5 or CJ7 but only if the length works out for you. It will fit other Jeep CJ applications so you really need to take a yoke to yoke measurement to compare. My measurements are from center of u-joint cap to center of u-joint cap. U-joint size is 1310. You can compare this to your old drive shaft or measure on your Jeep from yoke on the transfer case to yoke on the axle at the closest point. This closest point is out on the ear where the bolt or strap attaches. This gives you the center measurement. You will want at least 1” of play in either direction.
